The product is free flowing yeast in the form of light fawn coloured rods and composed of living plant cells derived from a pure culture of Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). The yeast is grown to the required levels of protein and phosphate in sterilized molasses. It is then dried by controlled air drying of a filtered yeast suspension with added rehydration agents.
